Things to know before buying

There are certain fees and surprises that you might encounter in your purchase. Make sure to factor these into your final decision.

Taxes

Equipment: 8% PST will be added on to the price of equipment if you are in Ontario. There is no GST.
Apparel: Residents of California and Kentucky must pay sales tax on Cafepress orders.

Currency

Equipment: Prices on PPGEAR.com are in Canadian dollars.
Apparel: Prices on Cafepress.com are in US dollars.

Apparel pictures

Apparel: In Cafepress clothing photos, the design is applied digitally, so the actual product may differ slightly.

Customs charges

Apparel: Since Cafepress (the producer of apparel) is in the US, customs charges may apply to those outside the US. In Canada, you typically must pay GST, PST, and a $5.00 post office handling fee (described more below). For bulk orders, products may be produced in Canada.

Post office handling fees

Apparel: Depending on your local postal service, you may have to pay a handling fee for certain imported packages. For example, Canada Post charges $5.00 CAD on imported packages valued at $20 CDN or more (charges may be subject to change, please see the Canada Post website to verify). Since Cafepress may split an order into parts, some packages will not exceed $20 CDN in value and will not be assessed a handling fee.

Size proportions

Apparel: The sizes of the designs on the front and back of clothes are always the same actual size (often 10"x10") regardless of the shirt size. In the product photos, the design is typically shown on a Medium-sized shirt. On an XL shirt, the design would look proportionally smaller.

Shirt sizes

Apparel: Shirt size labels (eg. XL, L, M, S) may not be equivalent to size labels in your country. See each product's Size chart for exact measurements.

Golf shirt material

Apparel: The golf shirt is not made of the standard polo shirt material. The body material is the same cotton as a normal t-shirt. Essentially this is a t-shirt with collared neck and sleeves.
